so i was wondeing if anyone knows how to fix some headlights that have been weathered (not foggy) they are starting to chip? will a headlight restorer work?

+1 on the sanding. I wet sanded my 2gb lights with 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, and 3000 grit sandpaper, then used a mini buffer and compound for a crystal clear finish.

ive restored a set of evo headlights and eclipse head lights. wetsanding and than plastx or some kind of rubbing compound works great. having a buffer or powerball(what i use) does wonders!

Sounds retarded but it works. Get a terrycloth rag and some toothpaste (yes, toothpaste) and scrub the shit out of them. It should get most of the yellowing and minor scratches off, and that's always been good enough for me.
Then buff with SwirlX, then PlastX. Then I wax them a few times and keep them waxed. Gets the rock chips out. Mine have been like that for a year now, yellowing has not returned.
Mikeys have been like that for a little more than 24 hours now

+1 on the wet sanding, but i also came across a product made by i think 3M that is for headlight haze and small scratches which i have used on a buddies car and works well...much easier than traditional we sanding but gives you all you will need and in my opinion i would use it if you are unsure about wet sanding..just my .02
