One of my overhead lights went out. I tried my manual and the search here to no avail. Anyone know if the frame just pops out? I'd hate to pry on it and break it. Thanks.

Pry down on the edge of it.

IIRC, the part towards the back of the car comes down first. That will bring the unit down from the roof.

To replace the bulbs you take out a couple of screws, lift the switch and then you can easily replace the bulbs.

do you have a sunroof?

if you do and it's the lights in the mirror they pry out with a little suggestive force. make sure they're nice and warm, I accidentally tried to change one on a cold day in a cold car... SNAP!

luckily I pocketed a replacement at the junkyard that weekend

Nah, no sunroof. My son has that setup in his 99. You're lucky you even can find stuff in a junkyard, lol. I'm in L.A., the land of junkyards, and I never find an Eclipse sitting around. Thanks, Erik.

There's a good ammount of yards around here in Denver, I usually find one or two sitting around. I even found a complete Blue interior once. thought about ripping it out just in case someone needed bits.

Great! Thanks Tim. Just needed to be sure I wasn't going to do something that required Super Glue afterwards. emoji

Problem fixed. I just slid in a flat screwdrive and pulled dpwn firmly but slowly. Didn't have to pry against the headliner. Thanks guys. emoji
