#102505, "how to roll down power window when door is off the car?"

I am in the process of having a door shipped to me after having somone merge into me on the interstate, but that is besides the point. The window is rolled up and i was wondering how it may be rolled down for shipping. I've looked at the electrical diagram in my haynes manual but i can not read electrical diagrams to save my life. Thanks in advance.

Easy if you have the door panel off.

Use any 12 volt battery. I use one from my Dewalt drill since it is handy. Unplug the connector and with a couple of test leads, wire across the two-pin connector that feeds the motor (not the multi-wire connectors to all the switches). Reverse the polarity if it goes the wrong way. The connector is just above the speaker hole in the door. After you unplug the connector, just hook up to the leads that go into the door, not to the armrest switches.

The connector you want will have only two wires and it is white nylon in color and attached to the door above the speaker. It's the only connector seen in the pic. Driver's door shown.
