I have had an anniversary eclipse for a few years now.It had a bent rim on it due to the previous owner hitting a curb.It was an OZ f-1 wheel. It always balanced well and held air pressure too.I couldn't stand the look of it though. It was bent to shit. After the rebuild on my motor Ive been fixing a few minor things and the bent rim was on my list..I found a place on line called acker wheels that sold me one in brand new condition for 200 bucks, plus shipping.Ya,Thats alot but Mitsubishi wanted 350..Anyway I never noticed until I got that wheel,That they are stamped Enkie on the inside..All of them..HUH!!I cant believe Einkie let Mitsubishi stamp OZ F-1 on their wheels..No wonder I had such a hard time finding it..This is just a general comment and I dont care either way. Both make great wheels.Im just kinda mistified as for the reason.Anyone got any insight on this

It's an OZ license design, manufactured by Enkei under license by Mitsubishi to keep costs down. So basically, they are Enkei wheels with just OZ center caps.

... and you would rather pay $800+ for a O.Z. F-1 Cup Corssa rim?

Enkei's have been known to be fairly sturdy wheels. In fact, I'm pretty sure EVERY 2G DSM wheel was made by Enkei. Mitsu provided them with the design and they made it into the wheels.
Although I have to tell ya, mooch-man, you shoulda checked the BST section on this site. Those wheels tend to come up from time to time on a bargain. I got a set of four, with six decent tires, for $200 and I found them in town! The thing to remember is, when it comes to something you need for your 2GNT, always check with 2GNT first. If you can't get it from a friend for less money, then you won't feel so bad paying a premium for something new.

Very true Doc. Dont get me wrong.I dont have a problem with Enkie wheels.I would've just rather Enkei say Enkei,Rather than to have painted OZ on an Enkei.I wouldn't paint an apple orange and try to pass it off as an orange. And for the price..I know it was alot.I had checked the classifieds here and seen them a few times for around the same price you got them for. However,At the time I needed it, there were none avalible. The problem started when I got new tires.I did have fuzion ZRI tires with a nice rim lip.Quite Possibly why I never had a problem.I bought H rated cause I put so many miles on them. they dont have the lip,And the bent wheel went flat by the time I got to work the next day.(80 mph for 45 minutes on the highway)Anyway I took it back,And they gave me a new tire cause I f--k'd it up.But I had to get a wheel fast cause they would not remount it on the bent rim. Also, I considered buying a whole new set of wheels for what that one cost me,But I wanted to keep it origional..As for the comment earlier,I consider myself a tuner,I have a downpipe, and my car looks Damn good too.As for a boot to the skull...I doubt that!!I know this is a silly topic for a post..I Didnt want to offend the hard core tuners with a topic about wheels. I was just surprised to see that stamp on the inside....

*shrug*, My eagle has a mitsubishi motor, and my Mitsubishi has a chrysler motor. It's all about function man $$ Did you look on ebay or craigslist? Usually they are fairly cheap.
