well i was gone back to work after my lunch break and after i unlocked the door and went to pull the outside handle, I ended up hearing a crack instead of it popping open. I looked at from what i could see without popping off the door panel and it seems the plastic piece holding the handle on one side snapped. I know how to put a new one in but i was wondering has anyone figured away of keeping this from happening? until i fix it guess ill be climbing in from the passenger, i for sure wont be picking up any ladies anytime soon. thanks in advance and i would of searched but im at work so i dont have alot of time.

Yeah the are the same, and there are several on e-gay with a few days left. They look like they're gonna go for around 40-50 bucks with the time thats left.

My broken handle experience started the day after I got my Talon. My passengers side door handle broke off, and I said no big deal. I just left it that way with really no intention of having repaired. Well about a week later my drivers side handle broke off and for a week I had to get in my car through the hatch because I couldn't find a handle anywhere. It sucked cause I'm 6 foot 220 pounds and I had to climb in and out several times a day through the damn hatch. I also left my keys in my car on several occasions so I couldn't even open the hatch to get in, and how my sun roof brackets got broken all up.

2.4 Swapped again...

Warning!
Blatant advertising alert:

Don't be afraid to open your doors!

I have my "2G Door Handle Repair Kits" ready to ship. Just got in 1000 pre-cut hinge pins last week to go with the 1000 laser cut steel hinge inserts I had to buy to meet the minimum shop purchases. I'm selling these through my web site. Here's the link.

http://www.azflight.com/rcaz/sub%20indexes/doorhandlefix/index.htm

The intro $14.95 kit price includes four laser cut steel hinge re-inforcement plates, four replacement hinge pins with free shipping to any US address. Once the full instructions are done the price will go to $19.95.

You can also install these in new handles if you're old ones are beyond repair.

I can lift 100 pounds of concrete with my repaired handles.

Want to try this with a new factory handle?

Hey AZDave,
I just ordered your door handle kit and didn't get any directions on how to install them. I tried going to your links on your rcaz.com page, but I couldn't find anything at all about them. Is there any way you could PM me a link on how to use the hinges. I've already got the door handle removal link from DSMtuners, but I just would like to know how to get the hinges on the car. Anyways, thanks for the fast shipment of the parts. (User DVS_BlueGadget on Ebay)

Geez!

Did you post this same question anywhere else? I've found it in two places so far plus the PM you sent today of which I replied to all as soon as I saw them.

You make it look like I don't take care of my customers so please let me know how many other places you posted the same question so I can reply to them to. Tuners? DSMtalk?

Mine is currently broken. I am too damn cheap and lazt to go and get the part. At a local collision place, I got it for $94 painted Monarch Green Pearl. I will install it myself. Stupid door handles. both my friends with 2gnt's have also lost atleast their driver side door handles at one point or another. they should recall them.

I'm wondering, when the handle broke could you hear something fall inside the door panel?

while I appreciate you fellahs being active members, there isn't a real need to reply to 3 year old threads. Best place to get a handle are the dealership, a junk yard, or the classified section.

*locked* so that in 3 years you guys wont come back in here and reply again
