#102085, "getting door to align"

hey guys, i took the lambo hinges off since the drivers strut is messed up, and i put the stock hinges back on and the passenger is fine but the drivers side just will not align right. when i open the door, you can see it drop down a little, and it you try to shut it, it just hits, you have to lift up on it a little, maybe 1/4 inch or so to get it to go. i do not have the little door strap that goes inbetween the hinges, i wonder if i need this? anyone have any suggestions what i should try to do? thanks alot guys

You know when you open the door so far it kinda locks into place, push it a little further and it locks again? That's all that black middle hinge does. You could try loosening the hinge bolts on the body and put a jack under the edge of the door, raise and tighten.

our doors are long and heavy enough that trying to align them is a pain (not as much as a 250# jaguar door though)

get some help aligning it, an extra pair or two of hands makes a big difference

I have the same prob but come to find out my bottom hinge has a broken head off of the bottom bolt and has a crack in the area where the hinge meets the frame. Guess I have to get it welded?? Any suggestions?

Looking for some DSMers in the area, Bernville, PA !!
