Ok so heres the question for people that live in ohio or know ohio laws. Is it legal to remove the stock steering wheel/Airbag and replace it with a aftermarket wheel. I did this on my last car but it didnt have a airbag stock. I am considering it and dont want to get pulled over and get a ticket for doing it.

I'm from Stark area and I owned four cars without airbags before my 2g. Never been ticketd cause of it, just only for speeding on my way home from work, each time was due to my ex. was ill or other serious prob. at home.
I've thought about doing the same but keeping my passenger airbag, I'm very cautious when I drive anyway not like some ass example my younger brother, LOL.

contrary to popular belief cops arent all bad i just call up the local PD and ask to talk to someone, i usually grab one from my ER break room and talk to them.
ive actually sat down with a state trooper and looked through the book to figure out whether i could change something or not. its funny, cops are really cool when not pulling you over or its not your fault lol

unfortunately, FEDERAL law states that it's illegal to remove airbags on any vehicle that came with them when that vehicle is intended for on-road usage, AKA: the car is registered and driven on public roads. State law usually doesn't mention airbags because the federal law supercedes any state laws in this manner.
that being said, I trust a good tight 4 point harness over an airbag any day
