So, this is what did this weekend.

Started with buying Meguiars Gold Class soap and wax, Meguiars Clay Bar Kit, and Meguiars Interior Detail.

Started with washing, then clay bar, then two coats of wax, and finally used Meguiars PlastX on the lights. I havent done the inside yet because my arms may stop working at any moment.

The (almost) end result:

This is the hood (I never said it was perfect emoji)

Now, I need to get the rear quarter windows replaced (the moulding is part of the window), order the upper and lower trim from Mach V, get a new bumper, and source some mint black doors.

By the way, I HIGHLY recommend the Meguiars Gold Class products. The soap rocked - I literally used one ounce in a gallon of water like it says. The paste wax didnt leave white stuff on the trim like normal. All in all I think I spent 48.00ish on the wash stuff. Not bad considering I have a ton of wax left, only used an ounce of the soap, and the interior stuff should last a while too.

Also, I had not put tire shine on yet so that kinda kills it, but whatever, it looks damn good for a 10 year old, 253000 mile car!

I took the tag off to clean and wax underneath it. Kinda OCD me thinks.

Hehe, yours can be next, but it has to be able to make it to my house first emoji

nice man! emoji
from one black car to another, i'll tell you that the clay bar is a god send! next up is Meguires Scratch-X! get an orbital buffer and go to town i swear you will love it.
then i also use a nice Polish before i wax. usually Meguiars Medalion line or on of the other Pro products used for machine application.

remember if it aint smooth as glass before you wax, keep going till you get it good! makes future cleanings less labor intensive

just adding the scratch-x and then the polish should bring out that nice deep wet look again for ya

Yeah, the hood has some chips, but its not bad enough to where its super noticeable, that one pic just showed it EXTREMELY well emoji Plus there was alot of dust from taking the wax off.

I loved the clay bar. That thing was FILTHY when I was done. Just the clay bar was actually a HUGE improvement.

I need to get some ScratchX, I meant to pick it up yesterday but I ended talking with the guy in there, completely forgot emoji

Im extremely happy with it, reason I didnt do the bumper is because I paid a guy 300 bucks to fix/paint it back in January. Its now cracked where it was before, and the clear coat is peeling/bubbling off all over the place. I wanted to buy rims next but the bumper definitely needs to be next emoji

Yeah, loved the clay bar! Its a great detailing tool.

My arms were fine later that night. There was a time during this waxing period where I could turn the damn doorknob emoji
