Okay so we all have it, the trim on the outside of the window starts to crack and well look real shitty, how should one fix this?

What color paint? Black yes but flat?

should trim be sanded prior to painting if so what grit

any help would be great

If you paint it, bumper coating works well. Just make sure to clean it very thoroughly. even better is using undercoating spray in very thin coats but if you don't get it right you'll have lumpy mouldings.

best thing is to buy new ones but the best price I can find for new is $94 a piece.

Good idea terry, the undercoating lasted a few years on my friends GST, he did it too heavy on the passenger side and it was rough but really thin coats (move the can FAST) got the drivers side looking almost like factory with a little texture.

in case someone wants to try that erik, elaborate on the particular brand of undercoating. All the ones i used remained sticky and were a tint of brown in them.

I'll have to ask him, It was labeled as a sound barrier and undercoating.

Edit: nevermind, it was a spray can of truck bed liner. herculiner! We used the sound stuff in his fenderwells

It looked like CPD, but the price isn't the same. Cheaper there; still rediculous though.

THATS AN AWEOSME DEAL!, but where i get all my oem parts its just as cheap.

I get all my parts from here that I need OEM replacement. Best deals I have found. Not to mention, all you other guys were listing images of the wrong part. He needs the outside drip on the roof, not the one on the inside of the door.

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocator/index.cfm?action=getJointLocator&siteid=213934&chapter=&Sectionids=0,2695&groupid=2724&subgroupid=4658&componentid=0&make=24&model=Eclipse&year=1997&graphicID=6226440&callout=7&catalogid=2&displayCatalogid=0

I replaced both mine form here and with shipping and all it was under $60 for both sides together.

2 sets of injectors is better than 1 =)
