#100885, "Cloth or leather?"

I've been wanting to get black leather seats for a while now, but after talking with a couple guys who have owned leather before and not liked it, I'm wondering if I should just go cloth. It gets fairly hot here in the summer and I think a pair of black Tenzo's would do the job just as well. Plus they're a lot easier to acquire.

I'd have to reupholster my back seat to match unless there was a factory black cloth produced. Don't know if that's something I should have someone else do, but I digress. What's everyone's experience with cloth vs. leather? I know leather = sexy, but that wow factor kinda diminishes when someone sits down in your car and gets their arms seared and back stuck to the seat.

Leather's not as bad as you think it is in the summer. I have black leather interior and it's not as bad as when I had tan cloth.

I've sat in them. I find the cloth a hell of alot more comfortable.

Both of my moms cars have leather, my gf's jetta has leather, both my dads late model monte's had em.....

I dont like them. They're hard (even if you take care of them like you're supposed to) to me and i hate sliding around in them.

It's on you though. Everyone has their own preference.
I prefer cloth.

Goodnight sweetheart...yes its time to go...bum bum bum bum bum...good night sweetheart yes I am one little a$$hole......bum bum bum bum....

The only postive i think of leather is if you spill a drink on them is can easiler clean it up over cloth seats. And they have more of a luxurious car look if you have them

Car Status: P0140 o2 circuit number bank 1 sensor 2 Cel. Ill fix it tomorow lol.

i personally love the feel of Alcantara in seats, gives a real nice race feel while still being comfortable. (check out the interior of the Porsche GT3 RS, or the Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggra for a good representation of the stuff)
as for leather, ive been spoiled and only truely like the feel of the high-end stuff, (father has a Ferrari) the middle grade stuff used in BMW, MB, and lexus has a nice feel to it as well. other brands make me feel like im sitting on pleather.
