Hey guys... its another post of a polished intake manifold... kind of... I started doing this intake after seeing several of the great pics of what the stock intake looked like after being polished. Only later did I decide that I didnt wanna bother with having to keep polishing it and decided that powdercoating it super chrome was the best way for me to do it. So, right now real visible areas are at about a 400 grit, where others which are not so visible are only at 220. I was wondering from you powdercoating guys out there... What is the reccomended grit I should sand this aluminum to before getting it powdercoated? thanks again!

You've done such a good job with the polish, why not sell it, and powder coat a regular intake manifold? You are just covering up all your work.

Hey man, If you decide to powdercoat it. Then you do not need to do anything to it. Powder Coat is typically 3mills thick and willcoat evenly, So people will never know it was ever touched. Upto you, but I would sell it, and just powdercoat a regular one. Let someone finish what you have already started. but if your determined, senmd it my way haha I can extreme Chrome it.

Updated the Pics, this time without the flash. Couldnt See past the blur of the flash.

I was wondering to all you fellas who have walked the polishing intake manifold road before me, what type of compond or glaze do u have to keep on this thing from changing colors or turning white? thanks again!

When i used to wear bling-bling way back when, i aways used neverdull.

It comes in a silver can and inside is a bunch of smelly fiberglass-looking crap that your rub on whatever you want to be shiny.

Works wonders on keeping luster and shine. I've never had anything tarnish on me. I use it on my stainless steel plugs (i have stretched earlobes), my wheels...anything i can think of.
