im new here so i figured id say hey to every one....i have came to this site for months (since i've own my eclipse.) But i just finally got a chance to join Now after searching for a while this still is unclear to me i have the 3pcs wing and i just recently bought a cf hatch i want to get rid of the the wiper and either have no wing or go to a (basket-style) wing my question is, is there going to be holes in my quarters to fill after the wing is removed i've seen a pic on dsmturners were the guy said he had just removed his wing and there was no holes then agian i seen a red one on here and the guy painted his quarters black were his wing was and said he had to fill his. i have a 99 any answers will help

Wow. I have never seen anybody weld up holes before. That is definately a new one on me. Why would you weld here vs. bondo?

thats how they did mine ^^^^, well they didnt exactly use that long nail, but they used a different piece of metal and welded it, and then they smoothen it out! its nice when you see them do it...

p.s. surprise comming around soon!!!

I wish I had blown it, believe me, I do...

yes the metal was a much stronger solution then trying to mess with either fiberglass or bondo.

and i discovered that "16-Penny" nails are a perfect fit into most of those holes and allow you to still get a nice bead of weld down.
it also looked much smoother when paint was done as well.

thanks for the pic!!-Not to change the subject but i just got back from the junk yard and i got a turbo spoiler for $60 i thought it was a good deal it is in really good condition- my problem is now that, should I go wing less with my cf hatch or should i put the turbo style wing on it and should i paint it <(pewter blue pearlcoat)-gray..the color of the car>or black?? or should i leeve the stock 3pcs spoiler on... i also got a msd coil pak for $30 and a b&m short throw for $20
