#100187, "Lights but no chime/ding at all????"

Ok I don't get a ding/chime at all when the door is open or the lights are on and the car is off. I don't even get the door open light to come on, but the dome light still comes on. So I have replaced the Door Jamb Switches and the dome lights come on but still no chime or door open light????? Any ideas?????

ETACS ECU?

It's the only thing I know of that appears common to those symptoms. It has a detector circuit that sees what conditions exist and then sounds the chimes or doesn't as required.

So would I just check the wire connect to the ECU or would I have to open it up?

You'll need to get a wiring schematic and trace a few of the wires down and see if they read correctly. Since you appear to have more than one chime event not working my guess was the ETACS ECU since it is a common part. It's always easier to confirm the individual signal wires operation before trying to get into the ETACS. Maybe someone got tired of the noise and removed the chime?

I am kinda glad that the chime is gone but I at least want to get the door open light to come on.
