#100109, "Mounting brackets for 97-99 foglights different than 95-96?" Nov-19-07 11:16 AM by edxmon
Well I've had the 2gb fog lights I bought from Destruck (Sal) for well over a year, but now that most of my exterior is done, I'm about to install them. When I put on my 55mm TB I tried to test fit it, but the place where I thought they had to mount, didn't work. The contour on the plate attached to the fogs doesn't match the contour/crevices on the plate that is behind the bumper. I would just give 'em to the auto electrician that will do it for me, but I really just want him to do the wiring. I don't want him to drill some random holes, and screw it on. Would I have to go to the junk yard, and grab these mounting plates?
I'll try to get some pics to illustrate what I am talking about.
EDIT: Thanks to goalie40 in advance for letting me use his pic. The indicated areas is where I tried to mount my 2gb fog lights, but they did not fit:

Ah I see. Then the mounting holes or whatever will be behind those, or do I have to ghetto rig it?
