yes the plastic pieces are the grommets... and for the bit size, just make sure that the bit is smaller than the gromet... im sure there is an actual size, but i didnt use the grommets when i installed mine, so i cannot give you an exact.

thanks C. how did u hold the top part down then? with tape?

and i figured out the size. Just went from small to big in a piece of wood and tested the grommet in each size. It will go into some small holes but when i pulled it out...it cracked. So i went bigger and found a good size. 19/64 works good. Grommet wont pop in unless good pressure is applied so im sure it wont pop out. And when it does come out it doesnt brake.

I kinda like no door caps...gives it more a sleeker look, imo. But who knows...i might change my mind.

One more question....if i buy aftermarket skirts...will there gromments be spaced like stock ones so i dont gotta drill new holes?

huh, you mean the door caps? other wise you drill holes in the side of your car, and pop the rivets into place

>>thanks C. how did u hold the top part down then? with tape?

the top part is a bitch to get to stay down.. most of us that installed them ourselves just used double sided tape.. i also used strong ass velcro (ghetto i know, but anything to get those damn things to stay up there). you could get some more grommets and drill into the side of your car, but that is tricky.

>>and i figured out the size. Just went from small to big in a piece of wood and tested the grommet in each size. It will go into some small holes but when i pulled it out...it cracked. So i went bigger and found a good size. 19/64 works good. Grommet wont pop in unless good pressure is applied so im sure it wont pop out. And when it does come out it doesnt brake.

good stuff.. you should be fine.

hehe... so do i, can you tell?

>>One more question....if i buy aftermarket skirts...will there gromments be spaced like stock ones so i dont gotta drill new holes

aftermarket skirts dont come predrilled (to my knowledge), so you can match them to your existing holes.
