The black plastic piece in the door that isn't a hinge, but sort of... holds the door open, I suppose, is broken on my passenger side, completely in half, and it makes the most god awful racket when opening and closing said door. How big of a bitch is it to fix this, and how much money am I looking at? Where can I source one of these?
I'm broke, it's broken. I'm broke because it's broken. It's broken because I'm broke.

Its called a door check IIRC.
PM stangmurdera, he owns Miller Import Parts.
Also, the dealer. IIRC they were like 30 or 40 bucks for a Sebring.

They are easy to change. Remove the pin securing the end to the door frame. Then remove the two 12mm nuts. Remove the door panel. Reach your hand inside the door shell and pull it out. Simple stuff.
