What is the highest amount of timing you would run on a stock block with vp c16? I have it tuned right now that from 5k - 6800rpms i get between 17 - 19 degrees. From 6800 on i get between 20-22 degrees. I want to shoot for 24 degrees from 5k - 7500. Do you thik that is too much at 15psi on a stock bottom end? I am getting zero degrees of knock right now and i am expecting to stay knockless. How much is too much even with no knock?

I'm pretty sure you want to just shoot for 20 degrees. If you are getting more that means you can lean it out or add more air, either way going faster....tuning for 25 degrees isn't going ot help you I don't think, although I could be wrong here....
basically, all the c16 is doing for you is helping you achieve 20 degrees with more air on the same injectors....

Well i figured out that i was tuning on 100 octane gas. With that between 5000 - 7500rpms I am getting between 19 - 22 degrees of timing. I am going to maybe go to 110 Octane and see if i can squeeze alittle more out of it. I did however find out that the more timing you run, the more time you should allow for cool off between passes. I found that to be interesting.

Well, of course. Advanced timing generates more power therefore more heat.

Race Gas does make tuning easier though.
Burns slower, less chance of detonation/knock = less heat.
do not say that around some nabr guys.....they will tell you there is no hard evidence to support that theory....lol. but it makes alot of sense when you think about it.

be careful as you start going past 100 octane...lead is hell on 02 sensors--- what kinda psi are you running again? I'm not sure why you need 110 when you have 100....
you are running a front mount, right?
p.s. i thought higher octane ONLY referred to resistence to combust under heat and pressure--I didn't think it had anything to do with rate of burn. One interesting fact, though---spark generated combustions only burns like 30m per second, slow as hell....
but if you have combustion from compression (diesel, GDI, etc.) its a helluva lot faster
