You guys think my current 660's be ok with it?? Or will I have to step to to some 850cc monsters?

IMO 660's will be fine. If you want more HP and want to test the strenght of your stock block, then go with the 880's.

660's should be fine for a healthy amount of boost. Jeff and I know someone running mid 11's on 660's but those injectors may not last more than a year since he is overworking them so much. Basically, his injectors are are 100% duty cycle all the time. They never close and are seeing a good amount of wear I suspect.

The 20G is a large turbo, so one day, you may want to upgrade, but for now, you'll be able to get plenty out of the car with 660's.

Also, spool time on the 20G will feel quite sluggish compared to the 16g, but it will be well worth it once boost hits. Since you're on the stock block anyway, you'll likely not reach the limits of the injectors until around the same time the block is close to its edge as well.

Run it until it blows up, then rebuild it. With that large a turbo, expect one day to have to tear down and start the engine from scratch. Just prepare mentally for that day. Until then, have an awesome time.

Also: How sure are you that that turbo is in tip-top condition?

It's running again shitheads.

If I posted misinformation, then my apologies. The 20G as I thought, was a late spooler by nature. Perhaps my thoughts are off.

Also, Remy, your buddy is a tuning/driving guru it would seem. 90% of people who run that combo would likely run into serious problems with lean conditions before ever realizing they had undersized injectors.

But props to him for a helluva time. Damn that's good tuning and driving.

There are two 20g turbos....the beteer of the two is the TD06H 20g which is also the bigger one. Yes there will be a spool difference between the two but i am not sure as to how much. The TDO5H 20g is the smaller more inefficient one. But that of course is my opinion based on people i know who had that turbo.

I actually have both of them, but the one on my 4G63 is the TDO5 with the 7cm housing. The guy before me thrashed on it for over 6 years and you can tell by the dyno post below (not tuned).

On my 420A, I have the Hahn S20G with the 10cm housing and It spools up so much faster than the other one and plus it is almost brand new..

I was under the impression that the hahn super25g used the TD06H wheels and the super 20g uses the TD05H wheels.

This is from Hahn's site:

The Super 20G-N was designed to accommodate drag racing applications where high RPM and nitrous oxide are utilized. The TDO6H-10CM2 turbine section enables very low exhaust backpressure, which improves HP produced per PSI of boost while reducing thermal stress on high boost engines. The additional airflow and low backpressure characteristics are an ideal match for the addition of nitrous oxide.

I ran 550s on a TD05 20g for quite a while without any issues. Best ET was 11.52 on that set up.

I switched to a TD06 20g and was still running the 550s (never got to do any fine tuning though - bad rings). Not sure what injectors I'm gonna put in during the rebuilt.

Regarding spool-up, I loved the TD05. To me it was perfect. It wasn't sluggish at all and not too quick either. Very controllable.
