I'm looking into a tuning method for the 4g63 platform. DSMLink is the most appealling to me. However, I've looked into Megasquirt. People say that Megasquirt is better than DSMLink. Why is this? DSMLink let's you do essentially the same thing as Megasquirt, plus more. Am I wrong here? Are there any other systems or standalones that I should be looking at?

DSM link is the closest thing to a standalone, even a megasquirt isnt standalone, the dsm link you have a studder box, you can control EVERYTHING that the megasquirt does. Trust me, go with DSM link you will love it. its so easy to tune you just set it to your injectors and you datalog it

Basically AEM EMS is a fully programmable on the fly ECU. You have complete and total control over every aspect of the car. MUch more elaborate than Link but it's also over $1500.

Sounds like DSMLink is what fits for me. Just want to get to 350-400hp in the future. Nothing serious, just a fun car when compared to most of you guys posting. Not too many people in my part of MN that have 350hp tuned machines. Thanks for the help.
