Hey all, i tried to install my AFPR today and ran into 2 issues: one major and one minor. Its an aeromotive AFPR from slowboy (with their install kit)

Basically, I can't for the life of me get the stainless steel braided lines over the AN fittings. I tried unscrewing the red part all the way and forcing the fucker on there, then tried lubing it with lithium grease, all to no avail. Any tips are much appreciated as I re-attempt this tomorrow.

Second, this is minor but I can't find a decent mounting point. I've found places to kinda tuck it into, but i'd rather it was mounted to the firewall. Any suggestions for a 2g? Pics are even better!

You are trying to get the compression style AN fittings over "frayed" SS braided line? Have you ripped your fingers open a million times yet?

If I am reading your problem correctly, then this is my suggestion: Take electrical tape and wrap it as tightly as you possibly can around the exposed frayed end four or five times. Make sure it is super tight, then very very very slowly peel away all the tape except one full strip that goes around the hose. At that point it should be small enough and smooth enough to go into the red portion of the fitting. Want a nice guide for it?

As far as mounting the AFPR, I know what you mean about being troublesome. Most 2g's I see have them right on the firewall by the driver's strut tower. I haven't looked closely enough to know what they removed to accommodate it.
