#8109, "LeakDown & Compression Test Question" Aug-04-05 03:08 PM by Hult250R
OK Ive been battling what I think is Phantom knock ever since I put the motor back in the car this winter after doing the following mods: Fidanza Alum Flywheel ACT 2600 MAFT new timing belt and waterpump
Ive taken the motor out again and removed the balance shafts. Also hoping the Phantom knock was a motor mount or something i forgot to tighten the first time... It wasnt.
I did a compression test and got 155-160-165-165 (left to right) I did a leak down test today and got a little blowby into the crankcase in all of them. Would this cause Phantom knock??
Also theres no Oil in the coolant or vise versa
I hope i explained this right. Im trying to get this damn thing to the SO but I think Satan is against me.

you have dsmlink right? they have a "phantom knock" eliminator that you could try out. basically it just rejects readings from the sensor until a certain rpm.
