#7888, "FREE T-25 Turbo, what now?"

I've been a lazy ass lately, not modding my car, and just wasting money on useless crap. A friend of mine whom I rarely see, gave me a T-25, for FREE! Now, I wanna get some more ponies out of my car, and I was kinda thinking a T-28 conversion could hold me off until that dream of rebuilding my engine, trans, and throwing a ridonculously HUGE turbo on my car.

How much HP does a T-28 flow?
I've seen a lot of different kinds, any real differences?
Where can I send in this T-25 and have it converted? Does condition matter A LOT? (possible shaft-play)

Help is always appreciated, thanks guys!

I was always told not to waste your money on a T28, but to spend an extra $100 and get an EVO3 16g turbo.

Just go ahead and forward that t-25 my way. When the gst gets here it needs a temporary turbo.

A buddy of mine has a T28 on his 97 GSX, he said the same thing. He wasn't very pleased with it and also said he should have went with the 16G.

For those that want a stock appearing turbo (or has Smog issues), the T-28 is a excellent replacement. There are a few variations that you can do with the T-28 using the T-25 housing.

HP limits around 360 to around 390 ish (all usable power). Plenty for a daily FWD IMO.

Are you looking to do a rebuild on this yourself? If not, you should expect to pay at least $800 for the t-28. (http://www.turbochargers.com/Turbos/TurboUpgrades/T28Killer.htm)

I'd say just go for an EVO III 16g if that was the case.

Even after the install kit for the 16-g it comes out to about the same anyways.
