Now I just need to finish up welding on my exhaust system and get a few things heat coated and it will be just about ready to drop in.

Here are the specs so far:

7-bolt
2.3L Stroker
Weisco Pistons 8.8:1
Manly Rods
2.4L Crankshaft
ARP Bolts
Balance Shafts Removed
Almost new everything bolted on

2G Head Port/Polish/Continuous Valve Job
Stock Valves
FP2 272/272 Cams
MADD Dual Spring Setup

For now, stock intake, stock throttle body, stock fuel rail, 950cc injectors, and DSMlink. I'm running a PLX wideband and a Greddy Profec-B boost controller. Also running stock MAF for now, with a Greddy Type-R BOV.

Future Plans:
SMIM
Q45 Throttle body
GM-MAF Setup (already have just don't want to use yet)

I'm going to break in the motor on the new injectors and just use some of the stock parts I'm familiar with, manifold, throttle body, MAF, until I get it somewhat tuned and broken in, and then I'll start thinking about upgrading the manifold and throttle body. Then finally I can hook up the GM-MAF and blow through.

Very nice dude, although you are pretty crazy for building up a 7 bolt emoji

Hopefully this will do you good so you can actually have a very well built, running car. Engine looks awesome! Good luck with the install/break in emoji

I am taking a risk using the 7 bolt, but I sent it to a guy in Colorado who guarantees this motor will never crankwalk. If it does he will fully replace the bottom end.

Sure I'm taking a risk, but not at my cost, just my time. He has over 10 heavily modified DSM's running 7-bolts and with his "top secret" modifications, none of them are crankwalking. I figured I'd give it a shot and if it works I'll try to throw some business his way, and if it doesn't, I'll let him build me a 6-bolt and not encourage anybody else to go there.

YOu should have built a 6 bolt for total piece of mind. I have no clue why people actually build 7 bolts. Why take a chance of having more down time.

edit: Crank Walk is highly over rated imo . If i had to i would put a stock 7 bolt in my car but to possibly waste money and time on building one.. I just cant see it. Good luck though. Let me know how you like the 2.3l. I am building one as well.

Crankwalk is such an arcane matter...

there were some guys who literally cut the block and found out something was wrong with the oil passages, I think it was in the dsm org files. Maybe that guy really knows some tricks.
