My transmission is done emoji

So hopefully that will be back to me next week. I'm excited to actually have a working 2nd gear now! Seriously. I want to see how the car does with a good tranny. 12.5 at 113 is my best time to date, and that was with a broken tranny among other problems.

Very happy right now emoji

The Shootout List:

- Install the tranny.
- Inspect the clutch to make sure it still works.
- 4 Bolt rear (had it since last summer, just never got it installed)
- I am going to mount the stock Advans from the Evo on the Momo wheels for the Talon. The Toyos I have on there now are 4 years old and shot.
- Remove the oil pan and timing belt stuff to find an elusive oil leak. Reinstall with new gaskets and a healthy amount of RTV.
- Replace the passenger headlight motor since the current one is dead.
- New o2 sensor.
- New knock sensor. I ripped the stock wiring apart last winter when I replaced the blown headgasket in 0 degree weather. It has been ghetto rigged since then.

There are probably more things to do, but thats all for now.

Shootout is soon.....

Congrats Jeff. I hope he calls me today. I'd like good news as well, although my list is longer and much farther away, so my good news would be washed out a bit. Get it running next weekend. YIPPEE HOORAY.

Congrats man, I can;t wait to ride in it when it's fully functional.

It's running again shitheads.

Jeff got a 4 spider center diff and double synchro second gear with a stock rebuild and hot tank job. Clean, new, in working order with upgraded parts where he needs them. emoji emoji

Mine will have the welded center diff and locking sleeve, heavy duty shift rails, double synchro 1/2, steel shift forks and other little stuff (cleaned and stock rebuild too). Not particularly the most streetable with the welded center diff but should hold up to some long term damage and high RPM shifting.

Also, John just called me too. He will have mine done by Monday or Tuesday of next week. Bang. Zow. Awesome. Jeff's great day was yesterday, and mine is today. I'm so happy!!!!! emoji

Well my three bolt will be out of there before I drive it with the welded center diff, and I'll make do with turning and reverse and all the squeeling tires. The car will barely be streetable anyway, so I'm kind of excited about it. Mine got finished up today and ships back to me this week as soon as I overnight my check to Shepherd. Same with Jeff's.

Bangorang,

Rufio
