Well I knew it was only a matter of time before the stock clutch died.
Took it out last night and when i got on it the rpm's rose but i didnt go any faster...

I was planning on getting an ACT 2600, But I also now noticed the Centerforce Dual Friction. Anyone have any opinions on either? Good/bad/otherwise?
What other clutch could I get?
Wheres the cheapest place to get one?

I have the Centerforce Dual Friction - About 20K miles on it with the Big 16G and it is now smoked. Same thing you are going through, I open her up in 3rd or 4th gear and the rpms climb a lot faster than they are supposed to. Go ACT 2600!

listen to Jeff, he is wise. 2600 for me in the spring.

Usually RRE has the best price on the 2600, but occasionally Prostreetonline has good deals. Just look around at the major vendors.

You may also want to consider a lightened flywheel while you're at it, depending on what your goals are for the car. I wouldn't go much lighter than the ACT one if I were you, though---its hard enough to launch as it is.

The pressure plate sucks in traffic, no to ways about it, but there's alot of stuff you can do to eliminate the clutch engaging right off the floor.

As for my 2600, i'm not sure why but I think i'm slipping it in 2nd sometimes, although its gotta be my imagination considering i'm only FWD with an EVOIII 16g.

Tomorrow I will call RRE, I order stuff from them all the time . . . I'm going to give them that price and see if they will do a double deal for you and me . . .

Anybody else want to get in on this?? I'll see if they will do a group buy.

PM me if you are interested.
