What are you takes on these guys... I have the steel shift forks from the evo 3 in my tranny. I switched to them because they are stronger. But the pads on them only lasted like 10k on them. They were rubber... The guy who built the tranny said its a wear item. He showed me some racing parts and it did wear alot. So he had the billet ones and didnt really like them and the aluminum ones shatter. What do you guys recommend I do because this is the second time im doing my tranny and im really sick of messing with it.

I have steel forks on my tranny but they only have 700 miles on them so I can't tell you yet how they wear. I have not heard about excessive wear on the steel ones (causing a 10k mile life) but it amy be possible. Are you sure that the shop isn't feeding you that line so you don't question a shoddy installation job? That seems like a very short expectancy ofr an upgraded part.

Well, JNZ tuning did it. He knows ALOT about DSMs he has been working with Shep racing like I said and has a 10 second DSM so. I dont know. He has always done really good work on everything, CAMs, tranny, other junk. IDK Im waiting for him to call me. I will let you know EXACTLY whats wrong with it either today or tomorrow.

Stock works fine as long as you don't abuse it when shifting. People who really slam gears can bend the stock forks, so take care of it and it will be fine.
