shifting is notchy, think its possible that the shift linkage was bent during the uninstall from the previous owner? if it was, can i bent it back? sounds like a stupid question but i just dont want to ruin something i just got done installing 24hrs ago. Also the reason I ask is because I have no 5th or Reverse so..... emoji

Check the position of the shifters ON the tranny. On my 95 GS I had the cables connected and mounted while they were in some unknown gear. I hopped in the car and shifted it (while on jacks) and discoved the lack of 5th and reverse. Make sure they are both in the CENTER position (neutral) and you should be golden, granted that is your problem...

I'll try that, I was also told that since my tranny is a 90, and my car is a 91, that the shift linkage, brackets, bla bla are all different but i dont know. I know it was in gear when I put it in though, so I'll try it. Thanks emoji

Yea, do it. When you're finagle-ing with putting the cables and bracket on, its so EASY to click it into gear and not knowing. Thats how I got so messed up, lol. Good luck!
