My clutch is slipping when i go into boost, so it's time to upgrade. I'm looking at getting an ACT 2100/street disc with ACT flywheel. My question is does anyone think i should get the 4 puck? Also, i've been told by several people that the 2100 can't hold much more than 300whp, any thoughts? I'm not sure exactly how much power i'm making, but last time i checked i was flowing 33lbs with stock crappy clutch. This summer i'm adding cams so i'm pretty sure i'll break 300whp.

I personally say just go for the 2600 w/ street disk and be done with it. But really, it depends on your driving style. If you are easy on the clutch, then you might get away with having some success with the 2100 since you're FWD. If you were AWD, 2600 all the way. As far as the 4-puck, I would just go for the street disk. Hope this helps.

2100 is fine. Your car never steps foot on a track. You definitely want a street disc. When you are making 500hp on an AWD car you can start thinking about a 4 puck.

I would say if you are going to go in there, do it right the first time. Order the 2600 w/ street disc and get the ACT Xtreme flywheel while you are in there. That way you have excellent performance and also room to grow in case you decide to up the horsepower a bit.

I would agree with you except his car is a FWD that is not running too much boost, and aparantly doesn't go to the track. Therefore, I see no reason to expel the extra leg muscle every shift when the 2100 should be fine for what he wants. The flywheel is a good idea regardless though.

The 2600 is not exactly hard to push in. I have had it for almost 2 years and I drive it daily in rush hour traffic and my leg has not gotten tired yet. I understand your point, but a 2600 is not hard to push in, but leaves a little extra room for improvement.

His car has no LSD and will never reach the point where the traction of the one spinning wheel will overwhelm the clamping power of the 2100. Why pay more for a clutch that is harder to operate, puts more lateral pressure on the crankshaft, and is more difficult to use in daily driving when he gets everything he needs with the 2100? Even if he did get an LSD and was driving drag radials on the street the tires would break loose before the clutch would let go.

also get a new oem throw out bearing, ive read good and bad reviews about them, but for the most part bad. when i did my 3 puck (sprung) on my awd i put in a new oem tob instead of the one that came with it.

The clutch shop I went to said they installed an all metal TOB so it wouldn't break on me like the ACT partial plastic TOB did.
Questionable items: 2g SS clutch line - $25 2g Complete Clutch line (Master cyl to Slave cyl)- $75 Scatter Shield - $150
So is this everything i should get? Anything i'm missing that i should replace while im doing the clutch? Also, should i get BGI or BGII? What do you guys think of the SS clutch lines?

I just put one quart of Reline Shockproof (heavy) and the rest Pennzoil Synchromesh (about 1 3/4 quarts). This is supposed to be the best fluid combination as far as protection is concerned. It may or may not help you shift better, but it does a great job dealing with the heat in the tranny. This is the combination John Shepherd uses by the way.
