Well the good news is that the shootout was awesome, and I had a great time there meeting everyone from the board and seeing a crapload of DSMs all together. Also it was nice to have my car running with the new setup on it but that only lasted until Sunday.
The bad news is that my car died in Ohio, and I may have to do a rebuild to get it running again. I took one run on my new turbo, IC etc setup and the car just crapped out, stalling completely about 2/3 of the way down the 1/4 mile. I'm pretty sure I blew my headgasket fully, and also, it seems like something in the engine blew too. My compression in the #1 cylinder is now 30 and the car won't drive. I'm getting it towed back to Maryland from Jeff's apartment on Friday where I'll take everything apart and start the search for the broken components. Looks like my timetable on the engine rebuild has been moved up to now, so hopefully I'll be able to get the car running again soon enough.
I'll update everyone once I have some more information, but for now, it doesn't look too good. Hopefully the DSM gods will smile on me for once, but I'm not counting on it.

sorry to hear that. So what do you think did it? I notice you don't have EGT guage or logger. Do you think maybe you were running lean? Did you know the HG was on it's way out or did it blow during that run?

Actually, we had an EGT gauge hooked up at the time. The EGTs never peaked above 1500 degrees, so something else was wrong. We think the the fuel pump was not working properly due to a faulty installation by some mechanic who reinstalled the gas tank while I was up at school. This may have caused the car to think it was running rich enough to tune OK but in fact it wasn't supplying enough fuel.
I also think the HG was on its way out, as preliminary tuning beforehand had significant boost leaks and other problems that could have been HG associated. While it may have been leaking beforehand, I'm pretty much positive that it blew fully on the run as the car shut down completely when it blew.
Generally, I'm pretty sure that this problem would have surfaced sooner or later, but it just so happened to pop up now. I guess we shall see in the near future when I get the engine apart. Either way I'll be upgrading to the Mits. metal HG so at least I'll be able to troubleshoot that aspect. Hopefully, my problems will be of help to others in this forum who may encounter the same things down the road.
