#4327, "complete the running lights with fog lights mod--questions"
Oct-28-03 09:46 AM by Diceman19

finished up the mod on vfaq about fixing your broken fog light switch. also made my fog lights turn on with my running lights. i have a question now. is the fog light power wire in any way connected to the driver side headlight power wire? my situation is that now i dont have my driver headlight bulb working now. it worked before. i dont know if it just blew or if it is connected to the fog light power connection somehow. oh yeah, now that the spring doesnt push the switch out anymore, i also did another mod not listed on vfaq. it is called the paperclip sticking out of the fog light switch mod.

even if it looks like crap, it is only temporary until i can get a working fog light switch.

i am assuming that my headlight bulbs have not been replaced since the car was new because of the low miles and it sitting for a while. but i thought that since i messed with some of the wiring and before, it worked, maybe i did something to screw it up. thanks for the help.

I was joking. emoji
You said it may be the bulb. Did you try swapping it with a good one yet?

nope i am too lazy. you guys are here to make things easy for me. i am guessing the bulb is bad. here is my reasoning. i cut the power wire on the fog light switch. if the headlight was getting power from that switch, the headlights would not turn on unless the fog lights were on. also, i had to get power to the switch from somewhere so the rheostat power is jumped to that switches old power wire. that is a pretty fool proof assumption correct?
