#3603, "Stock GST and GSX have oil coolers?"

Hey I was wondering if stock 4g63 have oil coolers as oem equip, AND does anyone know if they have a thermostat in between the cooler that shuts down and redirects the flow to the cooler if it is under a certain temp range?

They all have oil coolers.

1990 = Air cooled.

1991+ = water cooled.

It's running again shitheads.

The 90 models have the oil cooler in the driver side where the intercooler is on the passenger side.

91 and up models have water cooled oil coolers. The lines run behind the turbo down to the oil filter housing.

I was thinking of puting an aftermarket one in front under the hood latch. Take the oliline from filter that goes to turbo but redirect it throught he oilcooler in front first..or place it donw at the fiklter...Would this be good or bad?

that couldn't hurt, but why not just do a filter relocation and use those lines?

The metal line in front of the radiator is the power steering cooler.

You can install an oil cooler using a 1990 or JDM style oil filter housing. They come with external lines for an air cooled oil cooler.
