Im sure most of you have seen my previous pics of the car Im pretty much restoring from the ground up. Well, its time for some more progress pics.

All of the body parts are primed and ready to go back together. I have a new hood and front bumper cover off of a 92 talon. They still need to be sanded, preped, and primed before they go on. I just like the way the 92-94 front talon bumper looked compared to the eclipse front bumper. So the front end hasnt been bolted back up yet.

The rear end has been rewired minus the tag lights. I decided to get rid of them cause the polished aluminum tag frame I have has them built into it as well as another 3rd brake light. Everything is back together. I havnt tested all the lights yet. Ill have to button up some other wiring before I put a battery in it to see if they work.

I have the front radiator support welded back in. Granted it didnt come out the way I had hoped it would. My donor piece was cut about a 1/4" short. So I had to patch up between the pieces. No big deal since the fender will cover up the nasty work. If it would of been a different story I would of patch it up completly then bondo and finish it so it would look oem, but its not and Im not too concerned about it.

So the only body work left is the hail damage on the roof and get the antenna and wiper holes in the rear wing fiberglassed over.

Now for the pics.

Front end before...

and after...

Rear end before...

and after...

I also have anti-lock brakes and power steering on the car. If anyone here has the parts I need to convert to regular brakes and manual steering let me know and we can work out a deal for the parts. Id like to get them swapped in while the car is apart.

Let me know what you think... Stage 1 is almost complete. Then on to getting the motor rebuilt and running.

This is the kind of project that makes my heart happy. Someone taking time to restore the car. I applaud you sir.

I did the ABS Swap by the way. Get the proportioning valve and two brake lines (the long ones) from the dealer. The other two you'll have to get from a junk yard. Most junk yards won't want to give them to you because they won't sell used brake lines due to liability. I just asked them to throw them in with some 93+ calipers and brackets and they were happy to oblige. Brake upgrade and brake lines all at once. Good deal.

It's running again shitheads.

This might be the best thread in the history of the 1G/4G63 section.

I applaud you.

This has been the hardest project I think Ive worked on. Im getting excited to finally see it going together. Ive been working on it for about 7 months now and Im finally starting to show progress. I should have the body back together before easter weekend. Ill start concentrating on the motor after that. Only parts I need to finish the motor is crank, rod bearings, and a complete gasket set. Ill be driving it before next winter... hopefully...
