well . . . SON OF A ....!!!!!!! grrrrrrrrrrrrrr Damn that would have been sweet to take some 14x6 rims drop on some sticky compound tires and rip up the autoX track.

Why? 14x6 would give you horrible handling characteristics. No way in hell I would autox with 6" wide rims.

Yeah but 215 45's on a 17" tire are a good tire size for handling. 215's on a 14" tire would be like 215 85's to compensate for the small diameter rim and you'd be riding on balloons.

I don't need to keep my tire size the same. I'd run a 225/40/14 if I could find it, who cares about the speedo on the track. You should see the low profile fat ass tires these guys in Miata's run on. And they rock the party all day at the track.
