I've been thinking about it alot lately. How much more could I posssibly do to a 2G FWD A/T car? Traction sucks now so I think I'm about done with it unless I stop driving it on the streets. I talked to my wife about it last night and she said if wanted it, to look around for a p/t job during the day. I can do that. I'm going to start looking around for a weightless white RS. As much as I love the wing, it draws way too much attention and after seeing some pics of RS's in shoot out pics, the wingless look is growing on me. Probably won't be for a few months. I'd like to get as much of a downpayment as possible. I'm hoping to be able to drive one home around the beginning of November. Just figured I'd post about it now cause I'm bored and it'll give you guys a few months to talk me into getting a MR.

I never said I was getting rid of the GST. I said I wasn't going to do anything else to it as long as I had to "drive it on the street". I figure I already started with a crappy drg racing car being a FWD AT so why not do it up Tony Fruzzeti style and turn it into a monster "just for the hell of it". We'll see what happens though. I toying with the notion of using my wifes teggy as a trade in and letting her use the eclipse. I'll never make any money from selling it and I'll never part out a car as long as it's , well, a usable DSM... If any of you don't know who "turbo Tony" Fruzetti is, he started off knowing Mike HUml and Curt Brown and decided to start off with the bastrtd child DSM as a drag project. A 1G FWD AT Laser.

I know your just thinking about it, but I'm almost positive that Westboro Mits has a white RS. I'm there all the time, so if you do go, see if Tim is there and tell him Marshall sent you. Of course that's on 05...if it were me, I would just wait until the Evo 9's come out, which should be the end of this month, beginning of the next. As soon as I get out of school, and get a real job, I'm going to be all over an EVO 9 MR myself

I already checked their website. I also know a couple guys that work there, Matt Burns and Greg Joubert are NEDSM members. I'm already actually waiting for the 9's to come out so I can get a better deal on a leftover.

Getting a new car is tough, I've wanted an STi for a long time, but didn't get the insurance job/lots of money I wanted. I'm hoping in a year or two I can get my own shop and get an STi as an "advertiser" with the shop name on the side and what not, and go to car shows, cruise nights and drive around. Car payments, gas, and "maintenance" aka lots of sweet mods will all be business tax deductable. Look into something like that, there is always an easier/cheaper way of doing things. What's the invoice on the Evo? I can get any new car at invoice as is. I can talk to my boss about it. If he can save you Let's say $5000, what harm would it be to cut him a nice check for $500-$1000 for his time and connections? Think about it, and PM if you want me to find out.

I think the invoice for Evo's range from $27000 for the RS to $36500 for the MR. Btw, Nick are you a member of NEDSM? My name there is green95awd. Eclipzgst is also on there, as well as a couple others on this board.

I'm on NEDSM. Lost the site, and never really posted there.
On the option of invoice, I can try this favor for anyone. My boss can get ANY CAR at invoice (esp my girl's '05 Corolla S) which will save me a ton! If he gets a car for anyone at invoice and saves you thousands, he might just take a fat check from you home with him. He's a good guy like that and I'll also check up on the 99 GSX search, we have fords in the lot now, but a GSX just might sell like hot cakes!!!
