#12796, "how rich do I have to set my s-afc to keep my egt temp down"
Well my car can't pass 110mph. I run my car from 80-110 and that's how much my exhaust temp. gauge would hold. I run it rich and still no difference so, do I need to run it richer.
scenario 3rd 80-100 almost hitting 900 celsius, 4th 100-104 already hitting 900 celsius and 5th 105-110 almost immediately hitting 900. Both 4th and 5th is not even close to reaching 7500rpm.
You can imagine that I'm basically running hard only on 3rd.

So I just need to richen it up more then jeff? I'm just making sure because well lets say for example on my setting
High 3k -25 4k -23 4.5k -22 5k -22 5.5k -22 65k -18 this is my setting when I richen it up High 3k -14 4k -12 4.5k -10 5k -10 and so on
My question is that even with those changes I'm still not passing 110mph so I guess I'll just have to try going to the + side? just making sure what you think before I do so. If nothing works I guess I'll bring it to roadrace tonight around 11pm so they can tune it for me.

You may be having you taming pulled for some reason. Possibly ticking lifters? If you have access to a data logger, thats one thing i would check. Drive your car at WOT...and keep an eye on your EGTs. If the increase is not steady, and at the sudden jump in temps you feel the car getting noticibly slower...its most like the timing being pulled.
P.S. Running too rich can cause high EGTs as well.

-10 is still pretty lean! I have my 5.5, 6, and 7k settings at 0 correction. Granted I have a larger turbo, but -10 is still lean. Just richen it up more! You don't have to start going positive, just try even 0 for now. Take your time and tune it properly. Remember that EGTs are NOT good enough to tune a care with. A datalogger is crucial for tuning a car when using an SAFC.
