#12301, "What size piping for a Starion FMIC?"

I just got my grubby litle paws on a starion FMIC for $100 shipped, What size piping should I run?
Im planning on just buying mandrel bends of alumized steel from NAPA, if our rinky-dink store has them, or somewhere, But im wondering what size i should use. Ill probably upgrade to a Big 16G next year after i get all my supporting mods. Right now Ive got the stock 14B on my 92 TSI AWD.
Ive got a 2 1/2 UICP and was thinking of using all 2 1/2 to match the UICP.
Im a machinist at a machine shop so cutting welding and fabbing up the parts is no big deal at all.
Just tryin to figure out what size I should use... Sugestions guys??
TIA

Really? Why are people always upgrading from stock SMIC to them then?

Well, you're going to have to modify the endtanks for your inlet and outlet so you might as well go with 2.5".
They are better than the sidemount. Not much but a little. Think about it. It's got a hell of a lot more surface area and is right in front.

Ya I know Ill have to modify the endtanks,
I had the same reasoning about being a hell of a lot bigger and out front. Why would it not be any better than the stock SMIC?
