#12261, "Which mod?"

ok i figured i'm going to have 5-600 dollars to spend after chirstmas on the car so i was wondering what you guys would spend it on first for a totally stock 97 GSX? i was thinking either getting the complete Greddy intercooler or dejontool intercooler piping with a Greddy BOV or just an UICP with a 1g BOV and a 3inch cat-back. which one do think i shoud go with or any other combination of things should i do? thanks guys.

does a boost controller do any good with the stock turbo? i didn't think you could raise boost very much higher than it is on the stock turbo.

As long as you have replaced the stock BOV it will. The stock BOV leaks around 14 psi. Turbo is good for 15.

stock pump is fine with stock turbo. You could re-wire it now, but not really a big deal til later.

yeah fuel pump is not necessary till a turbo upgrade.

Boost Gauge, Boost Controller, UICP, LICP, Intake, BOV.....

Tell that to the dumbass kid I know that blew his motor by upping the boost too much with stock fuel pump. had a boost controller.

Ah, but if you maintain 15psi you...should be fine, but I say better safe than sorry.
