i noticed my bov was REALLY loud, louder than an rfl. i was thinkin yesterday i hear to much spool noise and takes to long to spool. so i pop the hood to adjust the hardness. so i get a 10mm wrench and loosen the nut first, then i loosen the bolt with a allen wrench. well i try to screw the bolt in with the allen wrench and its not going anywhere, so i back the screw out and try to get it back in. well the top thread (ONLY THREAD) is around the bolt. so now there is nothing to block flow. i use my thinking cap and get a metal screw the same lenght but a bit wider and re thread the hole. it sounded different at first and i noticed a big power gain but now its back to usual. ill take a pic of my bov tomorrow, at the top there is the head of a phillips screw.

im still good right?

As long as it doesn't leak, you're fine.
That is a BIG problem with these BOV's. They strip out VERY easily. You have to be very careful when tightening the lock nut. After adjustments, I turn it hand tight and then give it a half turn with a wrench.

you know i wasn't gonna say anything, but every time i see your subject line i can't stop thinking it: Why is it funny that your BOV broke? I'd be pissed, personally, Type-S's are expensive....

put a bolt threw the hole, only use a standard bolt without the fine thread, it worked on one of my old ones. eh my 2 cents, laters
