maybe i'm stupid... but.. when you install a mbc (i have joe p) when you remove all the hoses... do you have to plug the holes where the hoses that you removed went? i've read about 3 walkthroughs on installing..and only 1 says anything about plugging the holes...

You don't remove any hoses to install an MBC. You just tap the BOV line to feed the boost controller.

What hoses are you removing and why?

according to the vfaq hallman mbc install (http://www.belitski.com/cars/talonmods/turbo/vfaqhallman.html ).. you're supposed to remove the hoses from the wastegate solenoid...is this wrong?

so basiacally.. the wastegate solenoid is completely disconnected.. and there are open "holes" on the intake pipe and the compressor housing

the mbc is tapped into the bov line ... and connected to the wastegate..

Cap off the nipple on the air can and the turbo outlet with rubber caps.

Hell when I had my 14B I just hooked the MBC up between the wastegate and the boost source. Worked great. No removing lines or anything.
