#10941, "I got my FMIC installed... Yay me!!"

Heres a link to our local DSM site. All my pics are there
I made all the piping myself outta mandrel bends, a welder, and a few pieces of Industrial Radiator tubing from McMaster-Carr (good to like 125psi)
Whatta ya think??

cool. I can't wait to get mine on. It's been sitting here FAR too long. I'm having some issues with ADFX sending the j-pipe to the guy I bought the kit from. I'm about ready to cut the one up that I have now so it bends towards the right instead of the left to make it reach my inlet pipe.

I don't like that one bend going up angled too much... may cause pressure drop

It looks great, but that is a lot of piping. Like Icedout said, that one angle on the driver side is really crazy too.

These intercoolers are so great because they have the outlets on both sides of the core. If I were you, I would modify the turbo so the compressor outlet is facing the driver side of the car. That way you will reduce the piping by 50%, decrease spool time, and improve performance.

Im not sure if its normal but its about the only way i could get it in there
Jeff-Im not sure where to run piping if I cock the turbo and modify the housing like yours sits. I dont know where to get it from the IC to into the engime bay. Did you remove the Winshield washer bottle to do yours??

The windshield washer bottle isn't even in the engine bay. You probably mean the radiator overflow bottle. That does need to be move slightly to make room for the intercooler pipe. I posted a picture of that a little while ago.

Im talking about the winshield washer bottle
I looked when i was trying to figure out where to run piping and it was in the way. I couldnt figure out a way to get around it. Oh well, Its installed now... I dont see myself re-running plumbing in the near future lol
I took it to the track last night and ran 14.2 at 99mph 3 times in a row.
I was a little disappointed I was hoping for at least high 13's
Right now my mods are: 16G turbo, Apexi N1 turbo back, FMIC, 2 1/2 UICP, Dejon Tool intake pipe, hacked aircan, stock injectors, no SAFC,
Does that sound a little slow? I was running 14.6 with the stock sidemount and the stock 14B.

Get a Walbro 255 NOW. You are probably running really lean.

Get the Walbro, SAFC, and 660cc injectors and you'll be in the 12's as long as you can drive it emoji

Hell I ran 13.8 with just an ACT2600 and K&N air filter at 15psi. I ran 13.2 with those mods plus an SAFC, turbo-back exhaust, and homemade upper IC pipe. You are lacking the supporting mods my friend.

Nevermind about the intercooler piping comment. I overlooked that the pipes come out the sides of the end tanks rather than the back. Otherwise you could do this:L

No you can probably drive fine, you just need the correct supporting mods.
