i have been on here in forever, but my first question is can you use the 2g springs and shocks setup or am i better off just using stock replacements? the second is where is the best part to get a complete engine rebuild kit(gunna rebuild the head too), possibly with 2g pistons, and is there a good place locally in maryland to do rebuilds? im right outside frederick maryland.

1g and 2g suspensions are completely different. You will need to get 1g springs and shocks.

There is an excellent machine shop that is very good with the 4G63 just outside Frederick. A friend of mine just had them machine his 2.4L. The name escapes me at the moment, but I will track down the information for you tomorrow.

They can usually get very good prices on rebuild parts since they are official vendors.

Jackson Auto Machine? I just know they are located in MD and do extensive work on 4g63....I believe they used to do work for Extreme Motorsports...could be wrong.

Gunther's Machining & Rebuilding

It comes very highly recommended from several good people in the DSM world. It is in Walkersville, MD right near Frederick.
