Ok I think I might have the tuning figured out, but If I rev the car up in neutral to like say 6k I get knock also If I go from a stop and make a 1-4th gear pull I get really high knock counts in 1st and 2nd (like 35) but none in 3rd and 4th... Is that normal? Help guys! Im lost....
Just went out and logged a run: 3500 15 knock 17* TIMA .83 o2v 4500 14 knock 12* TIMA .83 o2v 5000 13 knock 13* TIMA .83 o2v 5500 13 knock 14* TIMA .83 o2v 6000 13 knock 20* TIMA .83 o2v 6500 11 knock 11* TIMA .82 o2v
Im at 19 psi on 93 octane small 16G turbo no AFPR My Lo throttle settings are pretty much -20% across my Hi throttles are at -24 across the rpm range any suggestions??
where should the TIMA be at? Ive heard it should stay at 19-22*
Also, when i make a pull the car kinda feels like im fluttereing the gas, its not a perfectly smooth acceleration.

The higher the knock goes, the lower the timing advance goes. You want your knock to be zero. Sometimes 4-5 counts is ok, but it really should be at zero. Add more fuel
Timing will vary by rpm, but it should be in the upper teens (18,19 to mid 20s 22-25.) Aim for that area.
Your o2s are way way low, especially for a 2G. You should be up around .96 or so. 2Gs like running rich...you need to add more fuel. That will improve your timing, reduce the knock, and get your o2's in the right area.
Knock happens all the time and for really strange reasons. For example, if you are at a stop and rev the engine fast, you will knock. If you slowly rev the engine however, you will get either no knock or just a very little. It really depends on the running conditions at the time and how the ECU responds.
(It is a bit more complex than that, but that is the simple version.)

I tried to gt the knock out but couldnt so I lowered the boost pressure to 18psi and its all gone My o2's are around .9-.91 (BTW Jeff, Im a 1G) Crusing at lo throttle settings my 02's cycle between about .3 and .6 is that ok? My EGT's are about where they were before I started tuning Cruising at 70mph theyre about 1400*F. Does all this sound about right?

you may be having trouble running 93 octane gas at anything higher than 18psi in the summertime. How hot out is it when you tune?
Another totally random thing I noticed is certain gas stations make my EGT's shoot WAY up compared to others--for example: I was cruising at 85mph on the way to nashville, no prob, EGT's around 730C. Then I filled up at some shell station and, cruising at the same speed, not going up hill or anything (same flat ass boring road), my EGT's were skirting 850C. Its something to keep in mind, I do suspect that a few gas stations cut their 93 octane with a little bit of something lower....

It was like 75* the other day when I started tuning. I did a few runs today and my knock was only at like 1 or 2 at a few places and its about 90* today So I think im gettin damn close :thuumbsup
