ok... so.. i'm ready to buy an egt gauge so that i can really start to tune after i get my clutch installed.... but i'm not sure if the autometer egt gauge will be ok or not.. because it only goes up to 1600*F ... and.. won't my egt's be going up past that??
so..which gauge should i get? which one do you have?

If your EGT's are at 1600* your pistons are ready to melt. Ive got the AutoMeter and It works fine. Im tuuned to run about 1500* at the hottest point. Some people get a faster acting probe for the Autometer gauge because its kinda slow. I havent had any probs with mine though.

Get the autometer gauge and I went with the TRE probe. It's faster responding, so I am happy with mine.
