I have a 97GST and can not diagnose this problem. I see 14lbs. @ my gauge but don't feel the torque like it used be. The car runs perfect. Smooth driving, no rough idle, no cel, and no leaks. I cleaned out the intercooler and tightned all clamps. But no luck still. For anybody who has run into this particular problem before I would very much be appreciative for any suggestions you may have.

Do you have any numbers to back any of this power loss up or is it the butt dyno that is telling you you are slower?

Stock boost gauge? After market boost gauge? Mods? We have absolutely no info here.

Yeah clutch could be slipping.

if the power levels out in higher rpms, it could be ur clutch not handling the power..... i drove an awd talon and thats what it did...

You could do phsycological conditioning on urself. I have a cheap solution.

1) Put ur car on the road and park.
2) Bring it to 3000 rpm's, and lean your head really far forward.
3) dump the clutch and floor it and throw your head back.


Do this everytime and have your passengers do the same. I promise you the all your torque will return, or your money back only for 19.95, lifetime gaurentee.
