#7768, "What is the stock engine vacuum supposed to be? 7psi, or 14psi of vacuum?"
Subject says it all, I have conflicting numbers. My boost gauge used to say -15 at idle, profecB now says -7. A website I found says -14 inches at idle, which is -7psi, but what is it supposed to be??

the profec reads psi. the boost gauge reads in/hg, its different. but it seems that 1psi is approx. 2 in/hg. Notice that the area on the boost gauge dedicated to 0-30psi is 180* and the area dedicated to 0-30 in/hg is about 90*.

Ummm...no, the boost gauge reads in PSI as well. Unless just the vacuum side reads in/hg and the boost is in psi? Edit: Whoa, gotta check that out tomorrow whenI get my car back.
Damn you responded fast, I just re-read your original post and was about to say, "my bad I mis-read your post" lol... yea, the boost gauges has in/hg on the negative side and psi on the positive side... so yea, your fine.
