Looks like the RS is dead and parted out...
As far as the car goes, as long as it is in awesome condition, that is not a bad price at all! I would also not be worried at all about the mileage as long as the timing and balance shaft belts (and water pump, etc) were just replaced (as it was due as of the 120K mile mark). If this is the case, then definitely go for it! You won't find a '99 GSX for cheaper. Furthermore, '99's have a much less chance of walking, as they have a different thrust bearing design than the earlier 7-bolts which definitely helped against CW.

Forget that, Huj. I've got a 90 GS-T you can have for $300 if you just pick it up.
How far out are you looking? Would you drive 12 hours one way for a great deal on a great car? The broader your search area, the more options you'll have.
Just a thought...
EDIT: It's got no engine or tranny and will need to be rewired. Maybe I should mention that.

That's pretty cheap, where's it at? A buddy of mine was looking for one of those a couple of months ago and couldn't find anything even remotely nice for even more money than that. (he bought an unbelievably clean gs-t spyder instead)

I would keep my 53K mile 420a over a gst. was looking for a GSX, but was not sure on the price of this one with that many miles, as it would be replacing my GS. I'm in WI by the way. I'm gong to go take a real close look at it and make my decition. Thanks for the input.
