#12569, "wooo, walbro 255 problems, help!"

Install went great, besides cutting my floor. Got it all together and as long as you are not driving with a lot of throttle position, the car runs good, but if you press it to the floor it fuel cuts. HELP! BTW, I have no exhaust after my cat, and the 02 sensor is zip-tied to the bottom of my car. :o

What is everbodies opinion on having to use an adjustable fpr with the 255? Everybody on dsmtalk says that you need an afpr with the 255, but I don't think anyone here is using one.

I don't think the exaust/o2 sensor have anything to do with it.
If anything, the problem may lie with the upstream o2 (the one that has to do with your engine running rich/lean) The downstream o2 does nothing but tell you if your cat is oper correctly. And if it's in open air, will see no problems and think everything is just dandy.

you sure its fuel cut? Cause i had the same problems at WOT I would backfire. Check your spark plug gapping. Also you will need a FPR Which I am about to purchase soon. I am wondering which one I will need. Mine would back fire around 16 psi.

You don't NEED an AFPR with the 255, but it sure makes tuning easier.

As for the problem, is there any noticeable boost creep? Having no exhaust can do that. Is the MAS stock?

I'm sorry jeff after thinking about this I am going to have and disagree with you. No matter what you do ifyou have a completly stock fuel system other then that. It is imparative that you get something else. When you work on a fuel system you must start front to back or all of it at once. I have noticed this with my 2gnt and now my 4g63

At high rpms, mine would "cut" out and that ended up being bad plugs. Gaps were HUGE and the electrode was pretty much gone. I changed the plugs and it went away.

this has nothing to do w/ rpm, just throttle position. The problem WOULD occur the same at 2k as at 5k, now I went out to start my car and it wouldn't start. Its just like you had the pump unplugged, but my pump is plugged up and making noise.

edit: MAS is stock/unhacked
