#12381, "4g63T question..."

Im sure it has been asked and answered before, but I found a guy selling a 95 GST. I think he said it has 38,945 on it but I think it might be 138,945. Does anyone know off hand of any problems that 4g63T motors have? Once again, I want to apologize for any problems this post may cause due to possible re-post. I did do a search and didnt find anything usefull. Thanks for all help

wrong section, but the mods will move it.

ya, a 95 will have over 100k miles on it usually. and beware of the walking crank with those.

actually, the 95 gst is a 7bolt (if you dont know what this means, do some searching around on www.dsmtalk.com and www.dsmtuners.com ). no big deal though, i think waaaaaaay too much attention is payed to the crankwalk issue.

go here:

that should answer most of your questions for years to come, lol.

Check the Vin# on http://www.carfax.com It should show the mileage updates when the vehicle was registered each year. If you find anything over the mileage you posted above, then you know the guy is full of sheit.

Never buy any vehicle unless you run a carfax.

1st things 1st. Is it A/T or 5-speed. That one question could end all this CW talk.

If you see and inspect the car in person you'll surely be able to tell if it has 138k miles or 38k miles.

Look for all the common wear and tear problems,

I've had crankwalk twice. But Mitsu replaced the engine and crank under warranty, so no big deal for me.
