I did some searching around and still haven't found a solid answer. The gst doesn't seem to like to downshift into third. If I'm out driving and I go to drop into third from fourth, it's like I hit a wall. If I wait a second before I try and slip it into third...it'll go ever time. I originally thought it was due to the pos short shifter that the previous owner had installed(huge piece of shit ). However, I just installed my new b&m short shifter and I still have problems downshifting from time to time. Keep in mind that the only gear I have trouble with is third.
The next thing I'm gonna try is having the tranny fluid changed. Any other thoughts...and I don't wanna hear about anything expensive ...I've spent too much on this car recently

linkages out of adjustment maybe? I had the same problem with reverse after I pulled the tranny and put in my ACT 2600 Under the shift boot youll see the adjusting nuts on the cables, Id try loosening or tightening them one at a time and see if it helps
Not sure if thats the answer but i guess its somewhere to start. At least its cheap lol

Excellent, tomorrow is turning into one big eclipse project day. It was starting out as just doing my new adjustable control arm anchors...but now it's going to be a "fix every damn thing that's wrong with my car" day
Thanks for the tip...it's now on my list of things to do

Let's just say that things didn't exactly go as I had hoped this weekend lol. I ran into some problems while installing my control arm anchors which ended up blowing the whole weekend. After I installed the anchors, I had the camber set well...the toe however was another story. I took my car out for a drive and it felt like I was floating So I took it in on Monday to have an alignment done. The improvement in handling was amazing.
So anyways, I'm probably going to work on the transmission this weekend. I'm thinking about flushing the tranny fluid and starting fresh. I'm also going to check the linkages to be safe.
One side note about the suspension. It doesn't matter how many times you've pulled apart your suspension...never be too confident. I found out the hard way by forgetting to undo the linkage between the sway bar and the wishbone That little fuck up made things much harder than they needed to be
