Yup I guess it was my turn. Got into an accident last Friday and today, I went to get an estimate and got TOTAL according to the body shop in my town. Last weekened, I took off all of my gauges, wideband, hids, and intercooler plus piping to sell.

The car's damage were the result of hitting an old pick up truck and since my car was so low, the hoods messed up, right fender, headlights, radiator support caved in. Otherwise drivable but totally unsaleable.

Hindsight being 20-20, I'm so glad I slowed down enought cause if I went head on at fullspeed, the pickup bed would have road up my hood and into the windshield and into my head! emoji

Anyway, I've been looking at 350z so yeah, that's been my adventure.

New Car:
2004 350z base, Nismo CAI, pioneer avic-n1 (dvd, cd, navi)

Old Car:
1998 GS with hrc stage 2, HID 6000k conversion kit, AEM UEGO wideband, sfmu, ml, prokits, Greddy warning gauges: egt, boost gauge, and oil pressure, apexi tt, haydans tranny cooler, costum dp, groundwires, dynotune fp gauge. gst muff, turbo spoiler
Boostin since Aug 03.

nothing like driving with the windows down and the music low: i love hearing the turbo spool, swwwhhhttt!!!!

My condolences. Sad to hear another 2GNTer, a SoCal 2GNTer at that lose his ride. But what's important is you're ok. Hope everything works out for you, insurance, getting a Z and all.

WHOA! Got my Z. IT is a 04 base silverstone model with a pioneer dvd/navigation system/mp3 cd system, nismo cold air intake and 20000 miles on it. I'm getting lojack installed in a few days as well as an alarm system. It also has side airbags which is sweet for safety.

Yes, it is a manual!

WOW I can't believe I'm driving a Z. I remember driving to sac on my way to school and I'd drool over each and every Z or G35 that I see on the road. Now, it MINE!

Yea, nothing like having a good community. There's gotta be a good site out there somewhere, It will just take time to find.

Ugh at my350z.com, one of the most popular sites, everyone's solution is either to take it to a shop or sell it for a different model. Where's the DIY spirit? Like the repairs section is absolutely clueless with no real solutions to peoples problems other than the above suggestions.

Ok, how about you post some pictures now? emoji

I suggest you get a NISMO cat-back exhaust...

I was leaning towards a silverstone one too, but all the colors look so damn good. I can't make up my mind.

I cant decide if I want a used one with all kinds of options, like that, or if I should get a brand new base model. Ugh.

My Z right now is at the dealer getting the minor scratches detailed out (part of the deal), lojack installed, speaker in the rear fixed (I think the owner before messed it up with the navi install), keys made, and have the clutch adjusted. So yeah, I'm going through withdrawls right now but I'll get it tomorrow again. Otherwise, car runs great, the automatic climate control is neat, and I GET 27 MILES PER GALLON with 287hps!!!!!

I paid for an 04 with 20000 miles for 23000. Its the base model (I wish I had cruise though) but but the base is the lightest and the pre-06 models are about 200 lbs lighter due to sound deadening material. I love it and I know here in Cali, I could not have gotten a good deal buying it from a dealer. It was 24000 sticker, and most Z here even used go for 26000.

I honestly wanted a black Z, blue, or white but dark silver has grown on me. Plus the car is just beautiful anyway you put it.

Nice pickup man, z's are hawt. I really like the G35, they are the sexor. I was browsing for a set of rims for my buddies 323ci and came across a nice set that were very reasonable. Check these out, i think they are bad ass on the Z.

wow, looks good.

i was wondering, how old are you, and how much is your insurance? I got some quotes for like over $300 a month, unless I have a deductible of over $1,00. I'm not sure if I'm gonna get one now, now that I see how much insurance would cost. I might go ahead and buy a house first. Damn, i really want a Z. emoji

I'm 23. My insurance is about 150/month but we have been with the said company for about 17 years now (my parents have been).

If I could get insurance like that, i'd have one by now. Being 20, and on my own insurance, i've gotten quotes for like over 300/month. If it was my only car, it would be 200 a month, but I'm not sure if I want to drive a Z in the snow.

I'm considering buying a brand new Nissan Frontier, and getting a house, and then buying a Z in a year or two. I don't know what the fuck i'm gonna do.
